Event Details

TAKING CARE is a culturally centered professional development opportunity for black philanthropic
staff. We’ll reflect on and reconnect with the values that brought us to philanthropic work, giving us energy to better sustain the quality and depth of our commitment on the job.

For more information visit: www.mkf.org/takingcare.

TAKING CARE costs $750 for single accommodations or $650 to share a double with another participant. The participation fee covers three nights’ lodging, facilitation, and six meals (Friday and Saturday dinners are on your own, with options to eat on site or travel into San Francisco). We will also offer limited ground transfers to and from San Francisco International Airport and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).

The participation fee is payable by credit card or PayPal. Fees are due by August 1, 2009.

The Fine Print

Accommodations:

Because the Kapor Foundation is underwriting the total costs of the retreat, the participation fee remains the same regardless of whether participants spend fewer nights at Cavallo Point.

Cancellations:

A full refund is available to participants up until July 20, 2009. Between July 21st and August 13th, full refunds are available for cancellations if a waiting list registrant is able to participate. If not, a 50% refund is available. Between August 14th and 20th, a 25% refund is available. We are open to registration transfers and can discuss on an as-needed basis.

Agreement:

This registration constitutes the potential participant's agreement to indemnify and hold harmless the retreat sponsors.
